Awards

The first edition of the Food & Wine Italia Awards was held in February 2020, with the aim of celebrating and rewarding talent, innovation and corporate social responsibility in the food and wine industry. Guala Closures and Vigneti Massa jointly received the special award for “Innovation in the wine sector” for NěSTGATETM connected closures: the first example of innovative technology in the European wine sector.

Guala Closures was awarded a “2020 WordStar Packaging Award” for e WAK, the connected closure for wine, which is part of the NěSTGATE TM range. This is the second award secured by Guala Closures for its connected closure for wine, following hot on the heels of the Alufoil Trophy.
The presentation ceremony and gala dinner will take place on Friday 8th May 2020 during the Interpack international fair in Dusseldorf.

In October 2019, the “New Technology” award of the Innovation Challenge SIMEI 2019 was assigned to Guala Closures’ NěSTGATETM connected closure for wine. The competition promotes and rewards the best product or process innovations presented by exhibitors at SIMEI.
